Hadrians Lodge Log Cabin is on Felmoor Country Park which is a beautiful park in the heart of Northumberland and lies centrally between Morpeth and Alnwick. ?There is a club house and restaurant on site, but no shop, so you will need to take groceries with you.
The nearest shops are in Morpeth, or Alnwick.
The closest beach provides you with miles and miles of golden sand where your dogs can run free too and is just about 15 mins drive.
The home of Harry Potter is just up the road, in Alnwick Castle and you have other fabulous castles to explore along the coast including Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Chillingham, Warkworth and many others.
There are villages that will delight and surprise you and gorgeous pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy some true Northumbrian hospitality.
There are lots of activities such as horse-riding, golf, cinemas, theatres, swimming pools and much much more for the whole family to enjoy within a short driving distance, and the park is just next door to Northumberland Zoo.

We would have scored Hadrians Lodge 10/10 if not for some really minor issues; lack of hanging space in both twin bedrooms for clothes, no full length mirror anywhere in the lodge, dining table needs attention (wobbly legs), extremely creaky floor, no shelves in shower cubicle for shampoo or shower gel etc., no hooks in bathroom for robes. These were really minor issues and wouldnt prevent us from staying again. The lodge itself is beautiful, the large decked outdoor area with gate was perfect for our 2 year old grandson and our dog. We have stayed in so many lodges and this hot tub was the best we have ever experienced! The Crazy Horse Saloon wasnt the best; the werent serving food on our arrival day (apparently do food on Mondays) and the space for dog friendly facilities was minimal. Getting to and from our lodge for days out was annoying due to the unnecessary number of killer speed bumps on site! The lack of a kids play area was a little annoying too. All in all the park itself is nice, lots of wildlife and so many visitors to our veranda each day; geese, ducks, swans, squirrels, moor hens.
