Really enjoyed our stay, beautiful lodge style caravan. Really bright and comfortable with everything we needed plus more. Hottub was amazing as was the outdoor areas and surrounding park walks. Facilities in the actual caravan were brilliant and we will definitely be back. Real home from home. Some site issues with water but unavoidable and fully resolved. Lovely welcome from both Pauline and Wendy. Would recommend and use both Ruby's Retreat and Hemera Holidays again. Northumberland is beautiful too!

Long family weekend by Barry Hutchinson

We stayed at Ruby’s Retreat with our two children for a long weekend on the hottest weekend so far this year. We had an amazing break! The kids said it was better than Butlins & they want to go again. It’s a short drive from so many beautiful places. The hot tub was a huge hit & we used it everyday. Everything we needed was there & we had no issues. Communication was excellent & we were sent all the relevant information once we had booked. Highly recommended.

Great standard of accommodation with plenty of room. Everything you could need, en suite bathroom, huge fridge with ice maker, recliner settee, dishwasher etc Lovely outside space with hot tub and great for travelling with a dog. Lots of dog friendly beaches and restaurants nearby and a great base for exploring Northumberland and its beautiful coast. Great place to get away from it all for a long weekend or a few days.

Have to say this is the nicest caravan I have stayed in. Very modern and clean. Theyr was a nice bottle of prosecco, crisps and chocs on arrival the views were amazing and he hottub was just out of this world! Had to drive to get to beaches etc but this wasn't a problem for us as we went out exploring during day then relaxed in hottub at night. Will definitely be back

Loved staying at Ruby's retreat. The only downfall is the caravan is in the middle of other caravans.

Nicest Lodge we have ever stayed in. Kids loved the hot tub, dog loved watching passers by on the decking, we loved the peace and quiet. Site was clean and tidy with amazing views. People and dogs were extremely friendly. The only downside for us was that you had to drive everywhere (shop, beach, activities).

We were away with friends. Ruby was clean and well furnished with a great hot tub cleaned daily. Lovely views across Northumberland from its elevated position. Only criticism the large sofa and chairs leaves the lounge area limited for space when everyone is in the room.

This has got to be the best caravan we have stayed in. Was like home from home stay. Pauline our contact was always on hand if there was anything we needed. The park itself is a lot quieter, but we had a great stay. Would definitely come back to this caravan.

Very comfortable accommodation. Enjoyed the stay there. Plenty of walks to take your dog and the site was very clean. Hopefully next year they will have a Restaraunt/:cafe where you can buy a meal. Also a small shop where you can buy milk etc. Would recommend Rubys Retreat as well has a lovely look out across the countryside.

I have stayed on three different sites in the region but I have to say for me personally this was my favourite. The lodge was was lovely, very cosey, clean and very comfortable. The walks from this site were amazing, walking through the woods and around the trails. There is also a golf course which is fantastic. The location suits perfect to get to anywhere. Highly recommended. I booked this at short notice and Wendy and her team were brilliant looking after and always are.

We stayed at Ruby's Retreat for 2 nights what an amazing lodge this is. The lodge its self is very homely and cozy. Very clean and tidy. The Hot tub is brilliant addition to the lodge and makes the stay more relaxing. We were surprised to find an lovely gesture left for us in the way of a bottle of prosecco. Thankyou for a lovely stay and definitely recommend this lodge 100%.

Very nice & comfortable lodge in a lovely plot. Kind gesture from the hosts, prosecco & doughnuts ty. Slept well, beds comfortable. Hot tub lovely. Loved the en-suite & shower. Some damage to furniture & chairs which I took photos of. Could have been cleaner, dirty plates, sink & plastic dish, grill had food remnants stuck on it and used tinfoil. We struggled with the gates as both have dropped & the front gate was rusty so not easy to close. Overall we had a lovely stay, this is a pet friendly lodge. All it needed is just that thorough clean. Would visit again.
