Our arrival information was clear and easy to assess the lodge of a very quiet and friendly safe site. Percy woods is an amazing location and we have already recommended it to family and friends. Especially those who play golf. As an active family we found it the perfect place to return to after hiking all day to relax, cook in a clean well-stocked kitchen and sit down at an already set table for us (the little touches). We liked how the ‘living areas’ were hard flooring and the bedrooms carpeted. The bed was the comfiest we have ever stayed in. Customer service was amazing and quick, replacing a missing bath plug within a few hours for us. Clean en suite to the double bedroom and well sized family bathroom. Iron, ironing board, hoover provided but take a hair dryer as I forgot! The hot tub and deck to sit out on was a treat, slightly overlooked from the left but with discreet neighbours on a site where everyone gives each other respect and privacy. As dog owners we find it difficult to find places to stay with them as our family members we don’t like to leave them behind, the woods itself is easily accessible after a short walk around the site keeping them on a lead. Plenty of dog friendly beaches 10-20 mins away and Thrunton woods. Nice hot food van and ice cream van on site if you don’t feel like cooking. The owners have took measures for Covid to make you feel safe but not extreme that you feel restricted. A tranquil place to visit with a book, DVDs or board games as signal was not great on the TVs (to be expected). The ducklings walking past and hearing an owl was more entertaining anyways. We will definitely go back!

I would recommend for anyone looking to get away and recharge your batteries, fantastic lodge in a very peaceful location. Nearest beach about 30 minutes drive at bamburgh also visited the castle whilst in bamburgh definitely a must do and a quick drive into alnwick for the gardens. Lovely lodge only thing missing would be a handbook available for advice on lodge itself ie hearing etc and some leaflets on local attractions.

Me and my wife booked for a relaxing weekend the caravan/lodge was furnished to a high standard, But had a strong smell of dogs there was dog hairs all over on plates in every draw in main bedroom, the arm chairs was the worst we couldn't even sit in it ! I understand its dog friendly but in future mayb take a payment for them to stay and spend that on a deeper clean ???? The hot tub was great but very over looked by caravan next door no privacy luckily no-one was in next door so not a problem to us on this occasion, the fridge cupboard Door was mouldy quite off putting when opening door to fridge would take a bit of paint or sticky back Plastic to cover it , we would not stay in this caravan again But would book through Hemera holiday again as had some great late deals

Birthday Break Away by Helen Pennington

Booked a little get away for my hubby's birthday and its just what we all needed after a very trying 18 months. Booking was a breeze, emails received were from very friendly, helpful staff and contained all information needed and more. The lodge was easy to locate and easy to access and was situated a short walk from reception, children's play area and catering vans. We noticed on arrival the hot tub was cold and switched off I was absolutely gutted as I wanted the weekend to be special... I got on the phone to the number given and she assured me she'd come straight down and look into the matter. Within 10 mins I was receiving a call back to explain what had happened and the maintenance guy was on route, by the time we'd unloaded the car, opened presents, eaten cake and had a cuppa tea the hot tub was re-filled and upto temperature.... take about prompt service. The guy was so helpful and friendly. All beds made up on arrival with fresh clean bedding and towels provided. We went for a short walk around the site before coming home having tea and jumping in the hot tub.... perfect. The hot tub was private too a fence one side and the open lid the other, which I'm pleased about as some on the site seem to be out there in the open for all to see, and we like our privacy. The grassed area at the back of the lodge needed a cut desperately and a couple of boards around the veranda were bouncy due to the screws not secured especially at the front door, hubby joked he'd fix it if he'd had his tool haha (maybe next time). but other than that couldn't fault the cleanliness and homeliness. A couple of things missing like jug, bottle opener so when we popped into town I bought one and left for the next people. Overall the stay was perfect just what we needed. The bairñs didn't want to come home and the youngest said the bed was sooooo comfy he wanted to bring it home. The ice cream man comes round too on an evening which we made full use of ha!! He must get some chocolate sprinkles though haha. Thank you for the card and gift for my other half was a lovely touch. Already recommended the company and the site and we'll most certainly be back.

Directions and check in where brilliant. Mulberry rise is a beautiful lodge but when we arrived it was obvious the previous occupants had rinsed cups and plates ( tea stained mugs and grubby glasses etc ) prior to checking out which left us with the task of washing up which is not a great start. Could do with a little TLC around the hot tub and lodge just little things loose handles in the lodge and loads of light bulbs off . It sounds like we had a poor holiday but that’s far from the truth we enjoyed it and would go back but it could just be improved a little and it would make a massive difference.

Great site and great lodge. Hot tub was excellent and plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Only reason I gave 4 for cleanliness was because there was a pair of underwear left in one of the bedroom drawers and it left us feeling that it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned throughout, although the place was clean and looked very welcoming that was the only criticism. Good site and any staff we spoke to were very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed 12/07 and there were no street vans or places on site to eat, needed to venture out to eat. Not much on site for kids to do. The lodge was clean and tidy but a few issues with drawer handles off or falling off. Double bed was comfy but the 2 single beds you could feel the springs on the mattress, could be sorted with mattress toppers. The garden where the hot tub was, was overgrown and could have been tidied / cut back to make the garden nicer when sitting out on the porch

Week in Percy Woods by Guest

Really good weeks stay on the park which is quite with not much facilities, suited us with our older kids but there’s not a lot to do on site for younger ones. Mulberry Rise would benefit from secure fencing at the rear so the dog can be left to explore without fear of escaping, as it was I made a make shift barrier but that meant the dog confined purely to the veranda. Overall an enjoyable stay in a good location.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay with friends not much to do on site unless you are a golfer but if you want to explore the area roundabout this is ideal. The only negative is the area round the hot tub the trees need cut back.

Firstly, the customer service from the team at Hemera was first class and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It wasn’t our first time at the park and we will return. This accommodation has been renovated recently, there is just some attention to detail missing, where the workman perhaps didn’t share the standards of the ladies in the Hemera office The bathroom door doesn’t lock and the blinds in the kitchen and bathroom have not been put back together properly, a missing lightbulb and there is a missing handle on a drawer in the second room with some of the painting a little slapdash. Small things, but noticeable. If I could suggest one improvement, it is the access to the hot tub, along the slabs. I think that would be an easy and effective change, as it is, remember to take sliders. The hot tub itself is great, spotlessly clean and the mechanism makes removing and replacing the cover very easy. The site itself is very well maintained and ideally located to explore the area. The bar sells reasonably priced food and drinks and the owner is very friendly. The path from the site to the bar isn’t the best yet and isn’t currently lit, but speak nicely to the bar owner and he may drop you back in his buggy. The golf course is in good condition and all in all I would recommend Hemera, the accommodation and the site.
