Lovely short break at this lovely caravan with great hot tub , however park could do with a small shop or mobile shop for the little things you have forgotten as it’s too far to Nearest one. Left a day early due to a problem at home and did let the owners know so thought I may have received my security deposit back but still waiting, however was still a lovely break .

I have just returned from a 5 night stay and it was fabulous. Ramblers Rest is a real home from home. Its spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a perfect stay. The hot tub is fabulous after a day walking with the dog. It's well located within Felmoor Park which is a lovely site. 100% will be coming back..

A comfortable caravan that needs some TLC by Helen Hobkinson

Spent a chilly week in August 2021 at Ramblers Rest with two moody teenagers and two happy dogs On arriving we were quickly met by one of the owners who was very pleasant. On first appearance the van looked clean and comfortable, beds made ready, fresh towels and a treat box including Prosecco, so far so good. Tablet available for browsing, but the WiFi is not very good as you are sharing with 3 other vans. Beds were comfortable and plenty of wardrobe and drawers for our stuff. Between the two bedroom were 4 hangers and 2 were broken, so not much good for the 3 of us. On the surface everything looked clean, but when one of the girls lost her phone and we searched the sofa putting our hands down the cushions to be treated with an immense amount of crumbs and who knows what. The kettle has seen better days, and the van just felt a bit run down, as if it needed a revamp to live up to its promises. The hot tub was treated every day, although we looked like lobsters the first time we used it as it was set at 39.5c, so before we cooked we turned it down and left the lid open for a bit. Again it has obviously been in situ for some time, but it was a welcome relief from the lovely British summer! Smart TV and Sky was a boon, and the TV’s in the bedrooms. But there is very little to do at the park, and more suited to young families or retired. The on-site pub served food, which was very expensive, so can’t comment on the quality as we didn’t eat there. No on-site shop for essentials so it’s a few miles to find milk for your cereals and the morning papers. The dogs enjoyed the wraparound decking and barking at everyone who went by, and the walk around the pond. The Northumberland Zoo is literally just down the road and well worth a visit with younger children. The bird display was good fun. The surrounding areas are beautiful, and nature and history is on your doorstep. Would I return to this park and caravan, no. Elsewhere in Northumberland yes.
