Percy Wood Country Park is a beautiful park in the heart of Northumberland. Giving you a central base to explore everything it has to offer.
There are magnificent beaches a few miles away where you can walk and let your dogs play. Visit Druridge Bay country park where there is also a lake and the park leads onto the beach.
Alnwick Castle is close by as are the gardens and the famous treehouse restaurant (booking ahead required). There are wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes in all of the villages and market towns.
Morpeth has a great park with a large paddling pool for the children and there are small zoos and petting farms, together with leisure centres if the weather is not so good.
There are mountain bike trails from your lodge and horse riding schools not far. Enjoy free golf on Percy Wood's Golf course.
The historic town of Hexham is about an hours drive and there is also Hadrian's Wall to explore. You are about 40 minutes from the town of Newcastle.

Stayed here for my 30th birthday but took our 2 kids along too. The lodge was absolutely beautiful and definitely the nicest place weve ever stayed. With having young children with us it was great that the decking had a gate on but also a seperate gate down to the hot tub area so they could go out onto the decking without us worrying theyd be able to get off. The lodge itself was beautiful and clean and we were shocked with how much was provided for us ie washing up liquid, tea towels, bath and hand towels, kitchen roll, multiple toilet roll, good few bin bags, hand soap etc. not to mention the complimentary crisps and Prosecco! The location on the site was great, we walked to the childrens playground area which probably took around 10 minutes and we were going to attempt the walk to Bari bar which was supposed to be 20 minutes but it is a gravel type path which we couldnt get the pushchairs across. The hot tub was very private which was nice and the site itself seemed very quiet which made our time more relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable, even my little girl who rarely sleeps through slept every night in her double bottom bunk. Plenty of wardrobe space for clothes, 2 showers, 2 toilets and a bath I just dont know what else we could have asked for. The staff at hemera holidays have also been very friendly and helpful and Id like to add my security deposit was back on my available balance the day after we returned home. Had a lovely time here,spacious lodge with everything practically provided,very clean,hot tub is a bonus plus private enclosed garden area ideal for dogs or kids,bari bar jus 8min up the track,lovely walks aswell

This is my third stay at Percy Woods and I call this my happy place location is amazing this lodge was lovely very spacious and comfortable The double bedded bunk beds suited my requirements exactly The hot tub was in a great position and secluded Cant praise Wendy and Louise enough for all their help too

We have stayed on this site several times, but this is the first, not the last, in Sirona lodge. A spacious, comfortable lodge, with every thing you would need for your stay. Beautiful views from the balcony, especially on a misty, frosty morning. Not particularly a Hot Tub lover, but the tub at this lodge was very inviting and quite large. Nice area around the tub and very private. We loved this lodge, and will return as soon as possible. The staff at Hemera kept us up to date and well informed about our stay, and the contact, Martin, was very helpful about a small problem, which was rectified immediately. 10/10
