Squirrel Lodge provides everything you could wish for in a luxury lodge holiday in the countryside. Her position is to overlook a pretty little burn on the edge of a gorgeous country park in Northumberland.
Think - peace and quite, with the sounds of nature and the bubbles from your hot tub, to soothe away any stresses and strains. If this sounds like your kind of heaven, Squirrel Lodge will not disappoint.
She has a great position on Bockenfield Country Park, just north of Morpeth, which means she's also the perfect place to base yourself to explore some of Northumberland's amazing scenery, including ancient castles, quaint little villages, the rolling hills of the Cheviots and our amazing golden sandy beaches. Internally she has beautiful open plan living, with double doors leading to the terrace and your personal hot tub. The furniture is lush and designed for comfort. There is a large flat screen TV and additional fire, to enhance the central heating in those colder months.
Dining is set for four and the kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you could possibly need for a self catering holiday, including luxuries such as microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer and huge American style fridge/freezer. Home away from home indeed, especially if you are looking for a longer stay.
There are two bedrooms, one double and a twin, and a family bathroom. All linen and towels are provided for your use, However, you may need to bring some additional towels for use with the hot tub.

Squirrel Lodge is on Bockenfield Country Park, which is a beautiful park in the heart of Northumberland and lies centrally between Morpeth and Alnwick.
The closest beach provides you with miles and miles of golden sand where your dogs can run free too and is just about 15 mins drive.
The home of Harry Potter is just up the road, in Alnwick Castle and you have other fabulous castles to explore along the coast including Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Chillingham, Warkworth and many others.
There are villages that will delight and surprise you and gorgeous pubs, restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy some true Northumbrian hospitality.
There are lots of activities such as horse riding, golf, cinemas, theatres, swimming pools and much much more for the whole family to enjoy.
