We arrived on Friday to spend the whole weekend away as we needed a little break. We were pleasantly suprised at how nice and clean the lodge was, it felt very homely and we were comfortable in our surroundings, the hot tub was lovely which our 3 kids loved, we enjoyed a nice walk around the lake too. The meals in the pub at the top were also surprisingly excellent, the only thing I'd say wasn't great was how many rowdy people were in the pub half cut, apart from that it was an excellent stay and we'd definitely make a return in the warmer weather, thanks for the stay.

Fantastic place, well presented clean and tidy. The enclosed decking was great for the dog and hot tub was brilliant and well maintained. Overall we couldn't fault it and will be back soon.

Used this lodge in the past and always had a fantastic time but feel it now needs a few things upgraded The double bed could do with a new mattress ( could feel base through it) and kettle needed de-scaling, bought new kettle while we were there. Apart from these few small things, we had a great time and the staff were lovely. Hemera team are great to deal with, whatever the problems are. Thank you

Having stayed in the lodge last year we knew what to expect. The lodge is very comfortable inside and the hot tub is an added bonus and very welcome. Couple of minor issues which were addressed immediately. Lovely kind gesture of welcome treats. Lodge is perfectly situated on the park, in a quieter area and near to the lake. Outdoor area/decking needs some TLC but understand that a recent change of owner who probably hasn't had the time! A suggestion for the future perhaps. Most definitely worth a visit.

Lovely comfy lodge, with lots of home comforts Well equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Hot tub was nice and private with plenty sitting area around it. Loved the little welcome gift aswell. Site is well maintained, plenty of places to go on walks with our dog. The on site bar is very nice although we didn’t eat there so cannot comment on food. The only negative was the decking isn’t very secure if you have a small dog, ours could squeeze through the railings no problem. The cleaner must of been having an off day because they hadn’t cleaned fridge or inside microwave (had food in it) but it didn’t spoil our stay.. enjoyed it and would definitely re book

I couldn’t fault the customer service, we were kept updated frequently before and during our stay as there was some work being carried out which meant our water would be turned off for a couple of hours but we understood that this couldn’t be helped so this wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, the lodge was lovely and in a great location with the hot tub and welcome package being great touches, however there were a few minor issues that I personally thought could be rectified to make it even better. The plug socket closest to the mirror wasn’t working properly - my appliances kept switching off mid use so I had to use the socket at the other end of the room which meant I had more difficulty using the mirror when styling my hair which was a slight issue. One of the bathroom lights also didn’t work and the seal on the shower door wasn’t on properly which meant some puddles forming every time the shower was used. The leather on a couple of the dining chairs was torn quite considerably so could do with replacing potentially. Both kettles I found in the lodge had quite a lot of limescale present so we didn’t use either of these and bought our own from the supermarket. One of the rings on the hob (bottom right) was slightly temperamental when we tried using this (flickered on and off for a few seconds, then went off completely) so not sure if this could be looked at also? On the whole, we did enjoy our stay and we really enjoyed using the hot tub. The park was very quiet when we went which was lovely and peaceful. The Crazy Horse saloon was only a short walk away and was very reasonably priced, offering great food and drink options. There is also a small zoo only a short drive away from the park which we also really enjoyed. We generally enjoyed our stay at Puddleduck lodge however we just felt there were a few issues discussed above we ought to mention just to make other peoples’ stays even more enjoyable

Great lodge in an ideal place for us having 2 dogs. The lodge was clean, and the welcome gift was nice. The double mattress needs replacing as its awful to sleep on, lack of teaspoons in the kitchen (there was only 1). Hot tub was lovely, however could benefit from having some form of cover when you are in it as leaves kept falling into it. This made the water dirty very quickly; it also meant the floor was covered in leaves when you got out. The decked area round the lodge was coved in leaves on our arrival and very slippery as it was wet, we understand that its November but maybe power washing the area would get rid of the slippiness. The outside also has no lighting, not ideal wen going in the hot tub or when we were going out with the dogs in the dark. Some basic cleaning products in the kitchen would have also been beneficial as we like to keep things tidy, I did try to vacuum but it wasn't very good, having 2 dogs with us this is a necessity for us. The onsite bar & restaurant were excellent, defiantly worth a visit. The food was fantastic & great value for money.
